Paris and Chantal!
Ok. It has been a while. A long while. I have been tottering around when I would get back to writing on this thing, but this have been quite busy. Funny how it takes discipline to merge my cyberself with my realtime self. Or maybe I ain’t as saavy as many others are. A tad too old for growing up on tech and a tad too far from New York to be fully integrated via iLife. Ah well. In short, spring and then summer arrived in Berlin and swept me off my feet. First all the trees budded and flowered with shades of pink to purple thorughout the city. Then it just got warm. I have been cycling around and enjoying it. Well, really soaking it up. I have had some travel in the last month, London in whirlwind trip and Oslo for business. OUr national center is currently responding full-force to the gripe porcina pandemic, and I have been fully involved in the response efforts which run round the clock. I am finally feeling a bit connected again. So, the random input for the day is: this recent pic of Paris Hilton and Cameroon’s first lady Chantal Biya at the First Ladies of Africa Health Summit gala in Beverly Hills, California on April 21. I don’t think any more comment is needed about how ridiculous this is. Don’t worry, Chantal is back in Geneva by now caring for the kiddies from afar.
