Oh, those crazy young people, when will they get their act together?

Ok, I read “Getting by on 500K a year” but I can never stop being surprised by the ubiquitous elitist pseudo-critical voice that permeates the NYTimes. This article masks the true tragedy of health insurance in the US among the poor and disenfranchised when it comes to healthcare (including some of my closest friends). This is neither a simple gap caused by a market for low-paying jobs and high healthcare premiums, nor is it a factor of being an irresponsible young person issue NOR do young people need to be constantly linked with “parents”. Enough. Ugh. Frame this issue appropriately around the dissolved US social welfare net! Vive le France!
